Hello, I'm Isabelle Terry, a publishing professional passionate about telling your story well.
Whether I’m managing a cross-functional editorial team or working with new writers, I’m driven by a deep belief in the power of storytelling—especially real-life stories that connect people to places and one another.
I am currently based in Ireland, where I serve as the Managing Editor of the literary journal, ROPES as I pursue an MA in Literature and Publishing at the University of Galway. My academic and professional journey has deepened my passion for storytelling and honed my skills in editorial project management. I am especially drawn to how the written word can empower individuals to express their unique voices and experiences.
Before moving to Ireland, I graduated with a BA in Professional Writing and Rhetoric and a Business Administration minor, from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. As a student in the honor’s college, I defended my thesis, From Soil to Soul: A Narrative Exploration of Place, Family, and Identity, which earned an outstanding distinction and ranked in the top 5% of all theses, recognized as equivalent to master’s-level research. During this time, I also began working at Baylor University Press, first in marketing and later in editorial. This experience grew my love for publishing and showed me how collaborative, intentional work can bring powerful stories to life.
When I am not reading and writing, I enjoy running and spending time in nature. I especially love photography and playing with visual media. My work in this area can be found throughout this website.
On this site, you can find my resume, writing samples, and select design work.
